Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (Core) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information and an overview regarding improving students' mathematical representation abilities after implementing the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning model. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method with the first class being given learning using the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning model and the second class as the control class being given a conventional learning model. The population in this study were all students in class XII OTKP SMK PGRI Subang with a sample of class XII OTKP 2 as the experimental class and The material provided is about Statistics. The instruments used in this research consisted of two types, namely test instruments in the form of pretest-posttest and non-test instruments, namely questionnaires. Based on the results, it shows that the increase in students' mathematical representation abilities using the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning model is better than conventional learning (0.54 > 0.05). Thus, the connecting, organizing, reflecting, extending (CORE) learning model can be used as an alternative in mathematics learning to improve students' mathematical representation abilities.
