PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINKING ALOUD PAIR PROBLEM SOLVING (TAPPS) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

Abstrak

This study aimed to determine the difference in improved mathematical communication skills between students who acquired Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning models and students acquiring conventional learning. The method used in this study was a pseudo experimental method (Quasi Experiment) with a nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. The population in this study was all students of class XI SMKS Termedu Lampang while the sample in this study was class XI OTKP which was the experimental class and class XI TKJ which was the control class. Materials provided regarding the Linear Program. The instruments used in this study are test instruments in the form of pretest-posttest. Based on the data processing results, the improvement of the mathematical communication skills of Shiva using the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) model was significantly better than conventional learning, the results of the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test showed that the value of (2−) was (0.000) < (0.05), meaning 0 = rejected and 1 = accepted. Thus, the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning model can be used as one of the alternatives in mathematical learning to improve students' mathematical communication skills.
