Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format (filename.doc or filename.docx).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • Where available, URLs or DOIs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission is free from plagiarism and written by Author(s) who are listed in the text with the correct order.
  • I have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms on the TIME in Physics website including but not limited to Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, and Editorial Policies.

Author Guidelines

  1. All Articles published in TIME in Physics are open access.
  2. The manuscript must be written by at least 2 authors.
  3. The type of the manuscript must be either the result of research or review studies.
  4. The submitted manuscript has not been published or is not being considered for publication by another publisher.
  5. The manuscript accepted is written in English or Indonesian.
  6. The length of the manuscript is approximately 6 pages, written in Palatino Linotype 12 pt, A4 paper format, margins: top (2.25 cm); left (2.5 cm); right (2.25); bottom (2.25), one column (except for abstract, figure, or table whose size cannot be reduced due to its readability), justified, single-spaced.
  7. The manuscript should be written in the following TEMPLATE.
  8. The manuscript comprises nine headings: Introduction; Methodology; Results & Discussions; Conclusion; Funding; Acknowledgement; Conflict of Interest; Author Contribution; and References.
  9. The title of the manuscript must be as brief as possible and represent the manuscript's content with Palatino Linotype, size 14 pt, bold, and Capitalize Each Word except for conjunction.
  10. Author’s names are written below the title, followed by the authors’ affiliation (name of the affiliation, city, postal code, and country) and e-mail address (corresponding author only).
  11. The abstract is written in English. Abstract uses Palatino Linotype, size 8 pt and should not exceed 250 words, written narratively comprising aims/objectives, method, and findings of the research/article, in one paragraph without tables and figures.
  12. Keywords: words or phrases which are important, specific, or representative of the article (maximum 5 words).
  13. The introduction explains the state of the art (SOTA) of the research, gap analysis, and research objectives/questions.
  14. The methodology is written in full detail so that it can be repeated by others (reproducible).
  15. Results should summarize or highlight the findings rather than provide detailed research results.
  16. Discussion must answer the problems, interprets the research results and the findings into the already known knowledge, confirms and/or contrasts with the research of other researchers, constructs the new theory, and/or modifies the previous theory. Discussion must also contain the implications of both theoretical and implementation results.
  17. The conclusion must be able to answer the research objectives/questions and should not repeat the abstract or simply rewrite the experimental results.
  18. The paragraph is written in Justify.
  19. The title of the figure uses Palatino Linotype size 10 pt, justifies alignment, 1 line spacing, and is placed at the bottom of the picture. The image file(s) is in .jpg, .bmp, or .png format and must be high quality/resolution (maximum 2MB).
  20. The title of the table is capitalized for the first letter of each word. Tables are typed in 1-line spacing, decimal places are used as position references, and zeros must be stated (e.g., 0.333, not .33). Columns and rows in the table should be titled. The table title is placed at the top of the table with a font size is 10 pt. Whereas the contents of the table are written in font size 9 pt.
  21. Diagram, schematic, chart, or flowchart using Palatino Linotype, 1 line spacing, and font size 10 pt.
  22. Equation(s) is numbered with Arabic numerals on the right in parentheses. The equation should use the International System (SI) and its standard abbreviations. The decimal sign uses a period for an article in English (example: 0.5). Abbreviations should be avoided unless they have been defined previously or commonly used abbreviations.
  23. Any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may affect the outcome or interpretation of the research should be written down in the manuscript. All sources of financial or non-financial support for the research should also be written in the Funding and Acknowledgments section.
  24. The references of the article are in the form of journals and non-journals, which are published in the last 10 years and consist of (at least) 75% of an article from a scientific journal.
  25. American Medical Association (AMA) style is used as a reference in a citation, references, and writing format.
  26. The manuscript must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet, or click LOG IN if you have already had an account].
  27. All Author(s)' names and identity(es) must be completely embedded in the form filled in by the corresponding author: title; authors; affiliation; email; abstract; keywords; and references. [if the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in the 3rd step of 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's data.]
  28. All correspondences, information, and decisions for the submitted manuscripts are conducted through email written in the manuscript and/or the emails used for the submission. The status of the manuscript can be checked in the OJS by logging in to the journal.
